HOT SPICY SHRIMP CHEESE DIP

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese – softened
  • ½ Cup Sour Cream
  • ¼ Cup Mayo
  • ¾ Cup Shredded Old Cheddar or Monterrey Jack Cheese (separate into ½ & ¼ Cup)
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Clove Garlic finely minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Siracha Spice*
  • ½ pound small cooked shrimp
  • Salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Combine softened cream cheese, mayo and sour cream until smooth
  3. Add lemon, minced garlic and siracha spice (or sauce) mixing until combined
  4. Fold in cooked shrimp and ½ cup of cheese
  5. Season with salt and pepper
  6. Spread mixture into a greased oven proof dish (small casserole or small cast iron skillet)
  7. Top with remaining ¼ cup of cheese
  8. Bake for 20-25 mins or until golden
  9. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices or crackers
  10. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • * Siracha Seasoning – I use the one from les soeurs en vrac (out of Quebec). Can substitute for 1 Tablespoon Siracha Sauce
  • Can be made Lactose Free by substituting with Lactose Free cheese, sour cream and cream cheese
