Here’s a super tasty & easy dip for your favorite Chips or Veggies!
One of my weaknesses is potato chips! Ruffled, rippled, wavy or just plain old salted potato chips with a good dip! YUM!
Making a tasty dip is both easy and rewarding! Sour cream with a bit of mayo (for a bit of richness) and spices is it! Leave it sit for a bit and the flavour blends a bit and voila! Ready for that movie or game night!
Potato chips, also known as crisps in some parts of the world, are believed to have originated in the United States in the mid-19th century. The story goes that the first potato chip was created by George Crum, a chef at a restaurant in Saratoga Springs, New York, in response to a customer’s complaint that his French fries were too thick and soggy.
To teach the customer a lesson, Crum sliced a potato into very thin pieces, fried them until they were crispy, and seasoned them with salt. To his surprise, the customer loved the “Saratoga Chips” and they became a hit with other customers as well. Over time, potato chips became a popular snack food in the United States and around the world.
