2024 Grand Prize Winner – Crosby’s Molasses Secret Sauce Competition!

2024 Winner Saint John Second annual Secret Sauce Competition

2nd Annual Secret Sauce Competition was held in in Saint John in June. It was a fierce competition with all entrants having their own twist to their sauces. Coming in first place with their Sweet Heat Maple Chipotle BBQ Sauce was Cooking with The Bujolds, Mark Bujold.

Featured in winning entry at 2024 Calagary Stampede Kitchen Showdown!

Two Canadian BBQ Gents! Mel Chmilar Jr. and Brad Billard competing at 2024 Calagary Stampede Kitchen Theatre Showdown using Crosby’s Molasses as a secret ingredient!

Through Crosby’s partnership with Alberta Beef Producers & Canadian Beef, they were ecstatic to be the secret ingredient at Kitchen Theatre showdown. The winning dish was cooked by Brad Billard, with a Ribeye Crostini. The runner up was Mel Chmilar Jr. with a delicious Chipotle Molasses BBQ Sauce on his ribeye Taco.

A cool story from the event was that the winning recipe was using the Secret Sauce recipe that Cooking with The Bujolds used to win at our Saint John Secret Sauce contest. This just goes to show that Crosby’s Molasses is a staple in all BBQ recipes, from coast to coast.
